Community Care Center of Hondo Hires Samantha McCain as New Director of Nursing

Community Care Center of Hondo is excited to announce the recent hire of Samantha McCain, who will be the facility’s new Director of Nursing.

McCain went to Nursing School at Vernon College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Baker College. She has 21 years of long-term care experience and has been a Director of Nursing for 15 years. McCain grew up in a small dairy community just North of Wichita Falls, Texas. Small towns have always appealed to her. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her three children and her husband, Zach. McCain’s responsibilities at the facility will include overseeing the medical care of every resident and ensuring their individual needs are being met. She will work directly with the staff, residents and the community. McCain said she’s excited to be part of the Community Care Center family and looks forward to working with the staff.

“The staff are great and take pride in the care they give to the residents. I look forward to building a strong team that works together for the greater good of the residents. While in this position, I would like to make Community Care Center of Hondo the preferred choice for Hondo residents by improving quality of care and earning the trust of the community by providing the best patient-centered care to meet their needs, values and choices.”
